Heart 106.2, the Global Radio-owned London station, is launching a new campaign that starring people from the media industry. The new ads, which break during The X Factor on Saturday (August 23), have the strapline, “Give it some Heart”.
The ads feature staff from agencies including Vizeum, Conrad, MPG, Carat, M2M and CBS Outdoor. There is also a cameo appearance from Heart breakfast show presenter Jamie Theakston. The campaign aims to “capture” the spirit of Heart’s listeners are “girls having soul” and are “funny, sassy, lever and inventive.
The new work has been developed by The Law Firm, which has been working with Global on a project basis. The brand does not currently have a retained agency but it is expected to start a review after Global’s takeover of GCap Media later this year.
It will run on TV, outdoor, including 96, 48 and six sheets, and online. Heart will also “takeover” afternoon freesheet thelondonpaper on September 1.
