Multimap ceo joins Microsoft search venture

Microsoft has appointed Multimap chief executive Jeff Kelisky as general manager of commercial search. The appointment comes as Microsoft restructures its search business group.

Kelisky (pictured) will be responsible for leading strategic development for Microsoft, including features such as cashback, MSN shopping, local, consumer mapping, Virtual Earth and mobile.

His move follows the acquisition of Multimap by Microsoft in December 2007. During his time at Multimap, he helped make the brand the most-visited mapping website in Europe.

Kelisky will report to Brad Goldberg, general manager of the search business unit based in Redmond, USA, and will manage a global team.
