DraftFCB appoints former Wunderman chief to head Europe

DraftFCB has appointed former Wunderman Worldwide vice chairman Alexei Orlov as president for Europe and the Middle East. Orlov, who will be based in London, replaces David Florence, who is leaving the agency.

Orlov, who was also chief executive of global automotive operations at DraftFCB, will take over his new role next week and will be responsible for 28 offices in 20 countries.

He joined Wunderman in 2000 after selling ROCQM, an independent strategic communications agency that worked with brands including Aquascutum and House of Fraser, to WPP Group.

Orlov will report to Laurence Boschetto, president and chief operating officer.

It is not known if Florence has a job to go to. He was previously Draft president and international operations manager but took the regional role after Draft merged with its Interpublic Group stablemate FCB in 2006.
