Land Rover signs rugby sponsorship deals

Land Rover has announced a new four-year sponsorship agreement with both Premier Rugby and the Rugby Football Union. The deal includes the launch of a brand new, countrywide grass roots tournament called the Land Rover Premiership Cup.

As the official vehicle of Premier Rugby, the umbrella organisation of the 12 Guinness Premiership clubs, Land Rover will also provide a number of vehicles to each of the clubs’ community departments.

The new Land Rover Premiership Cup, which will be aimed will around 40,000 children, will kick off in October and will conclude in 12 regional finals, with a parade of winners at Twickenham as a curtain raiser to the main Guinness Premiership final.

Anthony Bradbury, marketing director of Land Rover UK, says: “Not only do we have extensions to our existing agreements with Premier Rugby and the RFU, but we are excited about the new Land Rover Premiership Cup which will aim to get even more young people involved in the sport.”
