Sky Sports promotes Ryder Cup coverage

skysportsSky Sports is running a multi-platform campaign across TV, online and press to promote its coverage of the Ryder Cup.

The ads demonstrate the campaign’s “Europe United” theme through footage of all 12 European Ryder cup team players’ swings combined into one action.

The campaign goes live today (Wednesday) and was shot using a phantom high definition camera, which shoots footage at 6,000 frames per second. Viewers can log onto Sky’s Ryder Cup microsite and analyse each European team player’s swing, and compare one with another’s, or watch their swing with analysis from Sky Sports commentator Butch Harmon.

The broadcaster has exclusive live rights to The Ryder Cup in the UK and has recently signed a deal to broadcast the 2010 and 2012 Ryder Cup competitions.
