Zitter adds digital responsibilities to commercial director role

Guy Zitter, Daily Mail managing director and Associated Newspapers commercial director, is understood to be moving into an expanded role that will now include digital responsibilities. The change is part of a wider restructure at Daily Mail and General Trust.

He will now handle digital responsibilities for the Daily Mail in the UK and Ireland and The Mail on Sunday.

His remit will also include digital sales, previously handled by Andy Hart, who recently left his role as chief executive of digital for Associated and Northcliffe Media.

Last week, the company announced plans to merge the management teams of its national and regional newspaper businesses under a new unit known as A&N Media.

Kevin Beatty, group managing director of Associated Newspapers, has added the role of chief executive of A&N Media to his current responsibilities.

A replacement for The Mail on Sunday managing director, Stephen Miron, who announced his departure to Global Group’s radio division last month, has yet to be announced.
