Sainsburys website helps customers beat the credit crunch

Sainsbury’s has launched a new website aimed at helping its customers save money during the credit-crunch period. The “Ways to Save” website, created by digital agency AKQA, is aimed at helping customers plan their shopping with a reduced budget.

The website offers advice on switching providers, cooking using cheaper foods, finding discounts in-store and making cost-savings in utility bills and other domestic products.

Sainsbury’s online brand manager Sarah Squire says: “We know that our customers are looking for ways to save money, but expect much more from us than just promoting prices.”

She adds it aims to offer practical money saving ideas as well as inexpensive recipes that will help customers with the need to “compromise on quality”.

The website has been created to run alongside Sainsbury’s current ad campaign promoting its cheaper prices in-store. It features all current in-store offers, recipes using the discounted products, and promotions for the forthcoming Sainsbury’s Finance range.
