BA launches cut-price passenger upgrade offer

British Airways is offering passengers upgrades on European flights and longhaul flights from Heathrow. From £100 one-way, customers can now upgrade to the business class Europe cabin and from £180 to the World Traveller Plus cabin on longhaul flights. They will be able to do this before they fly or at the online check-in kiosks.

Additionally, BA will send customers an email alert before travelling, inviting them to upgrade their flight online.

The airline says passengers who upgrade to Club Europe will be able to access its new Galleries suite of lounges at Terminal 5.

On board, passengers on European and long-haul flights will be seated in wider, contoured leather seats with extra legroom and a wide selection of menu options.
