Walk the Walk, the health charity behind the MoonWalk challenge, is seeking a new sponsor after New Balance ended its deal with the event after four years.
The charity says the partnership has “reached a natural conclusion”.
During the sponsorship New Balance and Walk the Walk developed a power-walking shoe, which was aimed at encouraging walkers to use the right footwear. A percentage of every pair sold was donated to Walk the Walk.
Walk the Walk was established in 1998 and is a grant-making charity, which supports breast cancer causes. It runs the MoonWalk and SunWalk challenges, known for the participants wearing bras.
The charity has commercial relationships several companies including Playtex, who sponsored the 2008 MoonWalk, media partner She Magazine, radio partner LBC 97.3 and Ford, which supplies vehicles for the challenges.
