Jigsaw to launch first e-commerce website

Fashion retailer Jigsaw, is launching its first e-commerce store, in a bid to capture the growing online audience. It will be the first time the British retailer will use online to sell its ranges, immediately after they have been modeled at various fashion shows.

The online shop will sell Jigsaw’s women’s, accessories and junior clothing ranges to consumers in the UK and USA. The new e-commerce Jigsaw site has been created by digital agency Pod1.

Neil Borer, Jigsaw’s e-commerce director, says: “The new website feels clean and natural, in tune with its customers, filled with rich and relevant visual and informative content on every style.”

The website will launch on Friday (October 17) and will sell new rages from the store’s autumn and winter collection.

Pod 1 says that the brief for the agency is to develop a marketing plan for 2009, which will include email marketing, search engine optimisation and online PR, along with social media marketing, design and production.
