Associated Newspapers promotes Gorman to Mail ad director

Associated Newspapers has promoted Rosemary Gorman to the new role of deputy advertising director for Mail Newspapers. The move is part of the ongoing restructure of the publisher’s senior and commercial teams.

Gorman was previously advertising director for the Evening Standard and she will be replaced by Simon Davies, currently advertising director for The Mail on Sunday.

Davies’s previous role has been scrapped following the promotion of John Teal last month from Daily Mail advertising director, to the new role of group advertising director of the Mail Newspapers.

Meanwhile, Martin Clarke, currently associate editor for the Daily Mail, has become publisher of Mail Online.

The latest changes follow the promotion of Guy Zitter, previously the Daily Mail managing director and Associated Newspapers commercial director, to the expanded role of managing director of Mail Newspapers.

The restructure also follows the merger of the Daily Mail and General Trust-owned national and regional newspaper management teams under the new unit known as A&N Media. It is headed by Associated Newspapers managing director Kevin Beatty.
