Star guests appear in Dorchester ads

Dorchester Collection, the hotel brand, is launching an advertising campaign to raise awareness of its portfolio of hotels. The campaign is its first with Draftfcb London.

The ads feature a collection of people who have been guests at the hotels and the life-changing stories associated with their stay. It will focus on portraying the individual identity and legacy of each hotel and its guests.

The campaign starts with the first hotel in the collection, the Dorchester London, with an ad featuring Elizabeth Taylor, Peter Sellers, Nöel Coward, Joan Collins, Andy Warhol and Thandie Newton. The online ad guides visitors through stories that the celebrities experienced during their regular visits to the hotel.

Elizabeth Taylor received the news that she was to star in the film Cleopatra while she was bathing in a marble bathtub in the hotel’s Harlequin Suite. She later honeymooned in the hotel with her new husband and co-star.
