Twentieth Century Fox seeks theatrical marketing director

Elizabeth Kesses, theatrical marketing director at Twentieth Century Fox, has left the company after almost two years in the role. It is not known if she has a new job to go to.

The film company is currently seeking a replacement for Kesses, and her responsibilities will be overseen in the interim by Marguerite Frowein, who has moved from Twentieth Century Fox’s Dutch office to cover the role.

Kesses joined Twentieth Century Fox as its UK marketing director in November 2006 from media strategy agency Ingram. She took over from Kieron Breen, who moved to the company’s Los Angeles office.

Last year, she called a review of the company’s advertising and marketing roster as part of a “health check” on advertising opportunities (MW June 7). It spoke to the 12 agencies on its roster, covering digital, advertising and public relations.

She later appointed Drugstore following a six-way pitch to create original campaigns adapted from its US ad work. It followed the £150m global review of its media planning and buying, which was awarded to Vizeum.

Kesses joined Ingram in 2003 as part of its acquisition of strategic planning agency Unity. The agency worked with Fox on its European media strategy. She has also previously worked for Carat.
