Boots launches fragrances to support Children in Need

Boots has created two fragrances to raise funds for Children in Need in a first for the charity. The his and hers products go on sale today (November 14) in the build-up to this evening’s annual telethon.

The two fragrances are called Hug for Her and Hug for Him, come in a gold coloured bottle and have a phone charm inspired by Pudsey, the Children in Need mascot.

The fragrances have been specially created to conjure up memories of a happy childhood, Boots says.

Hug for Her is intended to evoke thoughts of bath time with the smell of fresh warm towels and baby powder. Hug for Him has the scent of wood shavings combined with sweet cola and is intended to represent a boy’s school pencil case, with everything in it from pencils to sweets.

It is the fifth year that Boots has supported Children in Need, but previous products, such as soft toys, have always been aimed at children.

This year, as well as the fragrances, the retailer is offering a mug, badges, Pudsey bears and Pudsey “ears”.

The fragrances cost £10 with £3.50 from each product going to the charity.
