MySpace launches Blackberry application

MySpace has launched a new mobile application for BlackBerry smartphones. It will allow Blackberry users access to their MySpace profiles and will be similar to applications already available to iPhone and Android users.

The MySpace application includes a full messaging interface, including comments, bulletins and messaging, real-time status and mood updates, and the ability to find, add and respond to friend requests.

It will also have camera integration, allowing users to snap, sort and upload pictures anytime and anywhere or view and comment on friends’ albums and photos.

Travis Katz, managing director of MySpace International, says: “This new application, specifically designed for Blackberry, takes the MySpace mobile experience to a new level.

“MySpace’s 120 million active users will have easier access to their friends, photos and content anywhere they are, at any time, providing another great step in the growth of MySpace mobile.”
