Campbell leaves Claydon Heeley after 17 years

Targetbase Claydon Heeley deputy chairman Leo Campbell has left the agency to start up a strategy consultancy business with former joint chief executive Ed Mason. The new venture will be called Mason Campbell.

Campbell, who has been with the agency for 17 years, says it already has a number of foundation clients in the media, recruitment and the legal sectors, but would not disclose the names of the companies.

He says is it now time to “stretch my legs again” with a new challenge.

His departure follows the rebrand of Claydon Heeley to Targetbase Claydon Heeley in July following its merger with the fellow Omnicom-owned data agency Targetbase.

It led to a restructure of its senior management team, with former global chairman of Rapp Collins, Chris Gordon, stepping into the role of chief executive.

The changes also followed the agency’s split from Agency Republic and the rebranded Zulu network, Republic Family, earlier this year.
