Eurostar appoints Rapp

Eurostar has appointed Rapp to handle its pan-European below-the-line account following a final pitch against EHS Brann and Tullo Marshall Warren. The incumbent agency, Proximity, withdrew from the pitch at an earlier stage.

Rapp, formerly called WAVV Rapp Collins, will now handle Eurostar’s consolidated account of customer relationship management, loyalty and e-commerce business. It called the review in July.

The rail operator is planning to develop its traveller communications and upgrade its website early next year to further “push the standards of customer experience”.

At its first year of operations at St. Pancras, Eurostar announced to have carried 7 million travellers and recorded sales of £521.1m in the first nine months of 2008.
