Bmibabay launches campaign to push new routes

Bmibaby is launching a digital out-of-home campaign in airports to highlight its new summer 2009 routes. The campaign, which launches today (November 20), is the first time the budget airline has advertised its new flight programme.

The ads, which were animated by outdoor company EYE, will appear in Manchester, East Midlands and Belfast International airports. It will promote routes such as East Midlands Airport to Almeria and Manchester Airport to Toulouse and Amsterdam.

The airline says that advertising at this time of year is “perfect” for it to reach price conscious travellers and remind them of its “value for money fares”.

John Rankin national manager of EYE’s airport specialist division EYE Fly says Bmibaby is the first advertiser to appear on its newly rolled-out Belfast International Airport sites.

He says: “We’ve collaborated closely with Bmibaby to ensure that the advertisements can reach their target audience in the right places and with the most appealing messages.”

EYE’s digital signs, called Eyelights, can also be updated with a short turn around time to display latest offers and seasonal messages.
