Westfield Stratford City is looking for a digital agency for the East London shopping centre that will open in March 2011. It is hoped the new development will act as the “gateway” to the 2012 Olympic Games.
The Westfield project team is planning to launch a digital campaign in March next year. It says the campaign will “engage and inspire” to help position Westfield Stratford City as the “next iconic international shopping destination”.
The agency will also have a brief to set standards for the new shopping centre’s online presence and will target retailers as well as the local community and corporate stakeholders.
A Westfield spokesman says the project wants an agency that is experienced in developing multi-channel retail websites, preferably with “East London credentials”.
Westfield is the Australian shopping centre company behind the £1.6bn White City complex (pictured), which opened last month.
