M&C Saatchi has appointed its European chairman Moray MacLennan to the new role of chief executive of the M&C Saatchi worldwide advertising network. Tom Dery, executive chairman, Asia Pacific, has also been moved to the position of chairman.
In the UK, Tim Duffy, currently UK chief executive, will add MacLennan’s previous post to his remit and Mike Abel will succeed Dery in Australia. All the changes are effective January 1.
The new positions have been created to help strengthen M&C Saatchi’s offering. Both MacLennan and Dery are founding partners of M&C Saatchi.
David Kershaw remains group chief executive and Jeremy Sinclair remains group chairman.
MacLennan was one of the founders of the agency in the UK and is a former chief executive of Saatchi & Saatchi. Dery and Tom McFarlane founded the M&C Saatchi agencies in Australia, Asia and California.
