Total Media wins New Zealand Lamb account

New Zealand Lamb has appointed Total Media to handle its UK media planning and buying activity. The agency won the business, which was previously handled by Phd, without a pitch.

Total will now work alongside the promotional body’s advertising agency, Gyro, on campaigns that will include TV sponsorship, press and online. Its next campaign will target housewifes through women’s magazines, and will include advertorials.

It will also be focusing on “organic and environmentally friendly” products that New Zealand Lamb promotes. Total Media will look to extend this through a TV sponsorship deal.

The media agency will also develop an online programme including advising on search strategies and web content.

Lucas Brown, managing director at Total Media Direct, says: “New Zealand Lamb has traditionally had a strong presence in the UK market, but in order to maintain and develop its brand awareness, it needs to look at alternative opportunities within the media landscape to reach its customer base.”
