Amscreen signs ad deal with Powerleague

Amscreen, Sir Alan Sugar’s digital signage company, has signed a five-year ad deal with football centre operator Powerleague. The agreement will see Amscreen’s screens installed in the reception areas of Powerleague’s 44 centres across the UK.

The digital screens will carry ads and information targeted at the operator’s predominantly male customer base.

The agreement allows Amscreen exclusive digital advertising sales rights, as well as space for Powerleague’s customer information messages and anchor advertisers which include Xbox, Nivea For Men, Nike, Lucozade and Carling.

Powerleague, the commercial five-a-side football operator, has more than 125,000 customers playing each week with 97% of these customers male and 92% under the age of 40.

Amscreen’s wireless digital signage technology allows advertisers to update content via mobile technology and aims to attract new advertisers that want to target men under 40.

Last month, Amscreen announced a trial deployment deal with Lloyds Pharmacy to carry advertisements as well as promotional services such as blood pressure checking and NHS diabetes tests.
