Website offers up-to-the-minute discounts service

Pricecuts.co.uk, a new website allowing online shoppers to view live price cuts on over 5 million products from over 1000 retailers is launching today (December 11). Retailers on board include Tesco, John Lewis, Debenhams and Currys.

The website is the first to let stores offer consumers discounts on goods online in a real-time environment and says it is anticipating over 5,000 price cuts to be loaded onto the site each day.

Other retailers featured on the site include Argos, Comet and House of Fraser. The site aims to rival services such as Kelkoo and will expand across Europe next year.

Pricecuts will claim commission from each sale made through its affiliate partners.

Matthew Wood, founder of pricecuts.co.uk, says: “For the first time, online shoppers will be provided with up-to-the-minute information on the latest discounts from across a range of their favourite retailers and, at the same time, discover relevant voucher codes that will reduce the price even further.”

UK internet searches for discount vouchers have increased by 133% over the past year, according to Hitwise UK. Visits to voucher websites have also increased by 45% over the same period, and UK internet users searched for over 20,000 variations on the term voucher, during the 12 weeks ending November 15.
