Sony to screen FIFA fan festivals in 3D

Sony Europe is launching a 3D fan experience at the International FIFA Fan Festivals, to leverage its official partnership of the World Cup.

The festivals will take place in Mexico City Paris, Rio, Berlin, Sydney and Rome and aim to recreate the excitement, emotion and energy of the FIFA World Cup in South Africa. Iris Experience will work on the experiential activity.

At each festival, iris’ experiential arm will create a 3D experience where visitors will be able to watch World Cup match highlights in 3D, as well as sample a host of Sony 3D content on the latest Bravia screens.

Toby Shaw, head of sponsorship, Sony Europe, says: “Our presence at the International FIFA Fan Festivals is a great opportunity to reach football fans all over the world and bring them into the heart of the World Cup through our products. Iris Experience are one of the very few global experiential agencies who we can partner to deliver this.”

Nico Tuppen, managing director for iris Experience, adds: “We have a great relationship with Sony Europe and it’s a real privilege to be working on such a high profile project, with such ground-breaking technology.”
