Starbucks has unveiled the first of its UK coffee houses to use its new brand logo and eco-store design.

The coffee chain says the store in Knightsbridge, London, celebrates the chain’s 40th anniversary and “marks a further step in the transformation of Starbucks business”.

The store has been designed with eco-features such as reclaimed materials and technology to reduce water and lighting energy consumption by up to 40%.

The new siren logo, which Starbucks revealed earlier this year, will feature on the store fascia, mugs and takeaway cups.

The store will stock Starbucks’ recently revealed range of rare, limited edition Reserve brand coffee, its Tribute Blend and new products such as the Cocoa Cappuccino and Starbucks Petites – a range of mini-treats for sharing.

Separately, the coffee chain has rolled out a campaign that tries to create an emotional connection with customers.

The ads say: “The world has a pause button” and uses the strapline “You and Starbucks. It’s bigger than coffee”.
