Organisers of the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC), the organisation also runs the global information portal, www.noonsite.com, which provides information to cruising sailors on everything from anti-piracy activity to port facilities, weather and tax issues.

Data is accessed by up to 1.6 million users from all over the world and requires 100% web site uptime. The new data centre and hosting service will be in place in time for the ARC Europe transatlantic event from the Caribbean in May.

“One thing that is said to us time and again is the importance of reliable information being available at every stage of every race. Sailors and also those following the events have constant requirements for the latest information to be available from any location. We experience periods of very high demand for information,” says Jeremy Wyatt, director of WCC.
