Work Club wins Oakley ad account

Oakley UK, the eyewear brand, has appointed London-based agency Work Club to handle its advertising following a pitch against undisclosed agencies. Work Club will oversee a men’s lifestyle project in the UK market.

The sports and lifestyle brand has charged Work Club to develop an integrated campaign that will run across print, online and retail platforms to support its Square O collection. It called the review last year (MW October 30).

In the sports sector, Oakley is also planning local initiatives with Olympic cycling champions such as Victoria Pendleton and Chris Hoy, golfer Ian Poulter and ex England Cricket Captain Kevin Pietersen.

The brand’s last major advertising activity was a £1m poster campaign to promote its Square O range, created by Kastner & Partners in June last year. Media was handled by BJK&E.

Meanwhile, the company is also relocating its marketing department and showroom to the Tea Building in Shoreditch, east London. It is currently based in Hertfordshire.
