Hit TV show gains radio slot

NME Radio, the digital-only station, is supporting the third series of Skins with the launch of a daily radio show dedicated to the show. Skins Radio will launch on January 12, two weeks before the TV show.

The show, will be broadcast between 7pm and 9pm and will feature live sessions from bands in the show, such as Dead Kids and Filthy Dukes, as well as interviews with cast members and on-set gossip. It will be represented by DJ James Theaker and Daniel Kaluuya, who appeared in the first two series of Skins as Posh Kenneth.

The radio show will be supported by advertorial in NMW, a Skins Radio party at The Arches on London’s South Bank on January 20, and through a dedicated channel at NME.com, which will have video of the new cast, band sessions and trailers for the new series.

Sammy Jacob, NME Radio managing director, says it is “exciting” to be able to create bespoke solutions for brands.
