Morris leaves Lowe London

Ed%20MorrisEd Morris, executive creative director of Lowe London, is understood to have left the agency despite earlier reports that he would continue in a consulting role.

The news comes amid confusion and speculation over his future with the InterPublic Group-owned agency. When it was announced last November that he would step down from the chief creative role, it was expected that he would continue to work on

a number of projects, including COI and the £20m John Lewis account.

While it is believed that Morris is no longer with the agency he is understood to have maintained a close relationship with clients such as John Lewis – an account that Lowe resigned last month.

It is unclear what Morris is planning to do next. A Lowe statement is expected to be made today (Wednesday).

His departure follows a turbulent year for Lowe, with the loss of key accounts including Stella Artois, Twinings and Innocent Drinks.

Meanwhile, Lowe is seeking a replacement for Steve Gatfield, the Lowe Worldwide chief executive, who will step down from the role in April.
