Ex-Lastminute.coms Bevan joins CallUma

John Bevan, former managing director of Lastminute.com, has joined CallUma, a travel services provider, as non-executive director. Bevan left the online travel portal in October after four years with the company.

In his new role, Bevan will be responsible for forging new partnerships within the travel industry by working with CallUma’s founder and chief executive Tony Partridge.

Bevan joined Lastminute.com in 2004 when it acquired Online Travel Group (OTG), where he was group marketing and product director. At Lastminute, he held a variety of roles including holiday director and travel director. He was promoted as its UK business-to-consumer managing director in 2007.

When Bevan departed from Lastminute, he also stepped down from his position on the ABTA (Association of British Travel Agents) board at the same time.

Along with Bevan, BCP Parking founder Stephen Moss also joins CallUma as its board member. CallUma offers services such as trackable luggage tags, information on resort amenities and emergency translation to holidaymakers.
