Readers Digest appoints new publishing director with marketing background

Readers Digest UK has appointed a new publishing director. Katherine Rose, a former TK Maxx marketer. Rose will take the commercial helm at the publishers Music and Video division.

Reader’s Digest UK has appointed a new publishing director. Katherine Rose, a former TK Maxx marketer. Rose will take the commercial helm at the publisher’s Music and Video division.

She will report to managing director Chris Spratling and take-on be responsibility for growing revenue and profit across the Reader’s Digest’s Music and Video division including creating new products, marketing, channels and pricing.  She will also have responsibility for the database marketing and insight teams.

Rose held the title associate vice president when she left TK Maxx in October 2007, shortly after the exit of managing director Stephanie Morgan (MW Oct 4 2007).  

She is also a former marketing director at RHM Foods-owned company Centura Foods and BBC Magazines marketing planning director. She joined the BBC publishing arm in 2000 as a marketing director for its lifestyle magazines before taking the top job after a reorganisation.
