Frank runs 2.2m campaign around cannabis issues

Frank, the Governments drugs information service, has launched a 2.2m integrated campaign to raise awareness of the mental health problems associated with taking cannabis.

Frank, the Government’s drugs information service, has launched a £2.2m integrated campaign to raise awareness of the mental health problems associated with taking cannabis.

The campaign, created by ad agency Mother and digital agency Profero, follows Simon, a teenager going through both the positive and negative effects of taking cannabis, including giggling, paranoia, panic attacks and memory loss.

It’s targeted at 11-18-year-olds and is running across TV, radio and online. A supporting campaign site has also been created.

A spokesman for Frank said, “Cannabis is the most commonly used illegal drug in Britain and binge smoking to achieve maximum effect may be putting people’s mental health in serious danger.”
