Continental Airlines recruits UK marketer

Continental Airlines has recruited former easyJet marketer Shelley Hinde to be its UK marketing manager.

She takes up responsibility for Continental’s marketing and sales promotions in the UK and Ireland and replaces Martin Braisby. He left to join Hilton Hotels International as director of marketing services.

Hinde was previously marketing manager for easyJet and prior to working for the low cost carrier was UK marketing manager at the British Airways franchise GB Airways. She reports to senior director Bob Schumacher.

Team Saatchi was appointed to handle Continental Airlines’ £2 million UK advertising account in November last year. The agency pitched against Publicis and Souk.

Continental Airlines was recently invited to join the Star Alliance global group of airlines.

The airline flies to the United States from several cities in UK & Ireland, including London Heathrow, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Bristol, Manchester and Belfast. The airline is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year.
