Universal McCann wins 4m Carbon Trust account

The Carbon Trust, the government-funded company formed to help reduce businesses environmental impact, has appointed Universal McCann to handle its £4m consolidated media buying account.

The agency competed in a four-way pitch against, Carat, Manning Gottlieb OMD and Brilliant Media, to secure the business.

Previously Universal McCann was responsible for the press & radio and TV accounts but has extended its contract to include online, outdoor and search, taking over from incumbent Carat.

Peter Hambly, director of marketing and communication at the Carbon Trust, said Universal McCann will be the media buyers for the Carbon Trust across all media channels from April.

The Carbon Trust helps businesses and the public sector reduce carbon emissions.
