BBH grabs global Sprite account

BBH joined the Coca-Cola roster when it was appointed to handle the Vitaminwater brand last month. The agency pitched against Wieden & Kennedy, which is also on the roster.

In the UK Coca Cola Great Britain & Ireland spent £77,000 on TV advertising for Sprite Zero last year. The company axed energy drink Sprite 3D in 2007.

In 2007 the soft drinks’ giant spent $12 million on marketing in the |US and the brand had a 5.6 per cent share in the carbonated soft drink category in the market.

Coca-Cola did sign a product placement deal with the ABC show Lost in 2006 for Sprite and is planning a brand extension called Sprite Green, which uses the company’s bespoke Truvia sweetener.

Coca-Cola GB has just launched a campaign for Diet Coke featuring Brit Award winner Duffy.
