Prudential says sales grew 5% last year boosted by its retirement led brand strategy.
The life insurance giant says total group insurance sales rose to £3.02bn last year.
Total UK sales increased 4% to £947m while sales in its UK retail division increased 10% to £803m.
The Prudential, known for its iconic “The Man from the Pru” strapline launched an integrated campaign for its Lifetime Mortgage equity release product in October.
It also ran the ‘Retirement has more potential with Prudential’ campaign in the last 12 months pushing its lifetime mortgage products.
Mark Tucker, group chief executive, says “Our retirement led strategy, underpinned by our international presence, product and distribution capabilities and brands, has resulted in strong performance across the group.”
Prudential also announced it is to transfer the assets and liabilities of its distribution business and agency force in Taiwan to the China Life Insurance Company.
