The Leith agency has won a pitch to handle a “new chapter” of the campaign against mental ill health discrimination in Scotland.

Leith was appointed to the “see me” account following a five way pitch against Barkers, The Bridge, The Union and incumbent The Gate.

It has been briefed create a full, integrated marketing campaign with sister agencies in the Tangible Group, Blonde Digital and PR house Stripe Communications.

The Scottish Government funded anti-discrimination campaign was created in 2002 by an alliance of mental health organisations including the Royal College of Psychiatrists (Scottish Division) and the Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH).

Campaign director Suzie Vestri says she wants the campaign to head in a “fresh, new direction” over the next two years. The campaign was credited in its first year with significantly reducing public discrimination against people with mental health problems in Scotland compared to England in the same period.
