Ex-Motorola VP Dale tipped for senior Euro Xbox role

Microsofts Xbox 360 is believed to have signed up former Motorola and Orange marketer Jeremy Dale for a senior European role.

News2-XboxMicrosoft’s Xbox 360 is believed to have signed up former Motorola and Orange marketer Jeremy Dale for a senior European role.

Dale left his last position as corporate vice-president of global marketing at Motorola in January. He was based at the telecoms company’s New York office and it is thought he wished to return to the UK.

Industry insiders suggest that Dale will take a senior role encompassing sales, marketing and retail responsibilities at Xbox 360 for the EMEA region.

Dale worked at Motorola for four years and before joining the company was at Orange, where he was UK marketing director. He is also a former ITV digital marketer.

While at Motorola he was involved with the signing of David Beckham as a brand ambassador and also worked on the Motorola (RED) project to help raise money to fight aids in Africa.

Xbox 360’s advertising is handled by McCann Erickson. The company was recently rapped by the Advertising Standards Authority for its “live your moment” ad. The ASA ruled the ad was misleading in regard to the movie download function.

Dale could not be contacted at the time of going to press.
