Xbox has launched a toolkit that enables Xbox Live users to share their avatar online with the aim of reaching a new audience.
The Free Your Avatar toolkit will extend the use of the avatars to social networks such as Facebook, Bebo and MySpace as well as enable users to create e-cards.
The toolkit, created by Digital Outlook, also extends the functionality, as users can add more backgrounds, props and messages to the image.
Graeme Boyd, community manager at Xbox, said, “It allows us to take the avatars out to a wider audience and represents a step towards educating consumers further on what’s at the heart of Xbox – having fun and interacting with your friends and family.”
