Spotify on the hunt for mobile developers
Spotify is beefing up its mobile division as it gears up to launch on the Android, iPhone and S60 platforms.
The on-demand music streaming service has begun a hunt for new developers who specialise in creating applications for the rival mobile operating systems.
It’s keen to offer users access to the ad-funded service when they are away from their PCs.
Spotify has called for software engineers as it ramps up towards a mobile launch.
Its site said, “You’ll help us make Spotify mobile and take part in changing the way people listen to music forever.”
The hires follow the appointment of former Yahoo staffer Gustav Sšderstršm as director of portable solutions in January.
