Lowe London wins Euro Election brief

Lowe London is to work together with German agency Scholz & Friends on an advertising campaign to promote the 2009 European Parliament election.

Lowe London is to work together with German agency Scholz & Friends on an advertising campaign to promote the 2009 European Parliament election.

This will be the first pan-European awareness campaign for the European Parliament elections and Lowe London won the brief after a competitive pitch.

The election is to be held between June 4th and 7th and will highlight the relevance of the election to individual voters. It will run in 27 EU member states.

Scholz & Friends’ international network has been assigned the strategy and pan-European implementation while Lowe London is leading the UK implementation across all channels.

There will be a multinational outdoor campaign launching simultaneously in London, Birmingham, Glasgow and Edinburgh. There will also be a centrally created television advertisement and radio and online marketing. The campaign end line is “It’s your choice!”.

The agency will work will work with local partners including experiential agency Jack Morton Worldwide. The campaign will include a series of 3D installations which illustrate different aspects of how voters can have a tangible influence on political decisions. Interactive multimedia boxes will invite EU citizens to describe their personal priorities for Europe in the form of a video message.

In the UK and EU these installations will be placed next to landmark and tourist attractions.
