McDonald’s is pitching its employer brand and recruitment account.
Intermediary Oystercatchers will handle all initial contact for the pitch and will draw-up a shortlist after a strategic review undertaken by McDonald’s to assess its employer brand and recruitment agency requirements.
Agencies will be asked to show how McDonald’s can ensure its employer brand and recruitment advertising is relevant, effective, and aligned with its overall business strategy. Incumbent Barkers Communications have been invited to repitch.
Jez Langhorn, head of talent and education at McDonald’s UK said: “As part of a strategic review of our partner agencies we feel that now is the right time to put this account out to tender.“
Oystercatchers recently sold a stake in its business to procurement specialist 4C Associates in January, designed to help it expand into offering new services, such as specialist procurement advice on industry and agency rate card benchmarking and contract negotiation.
McDonald’s has just announced that it plans to fill up to 25% of its vacancies by the long-term unemployed, defined as out of work for longer than six months, over the next 12 months.
