The Marketing Store recruits Design Councils Wendy Lanchin

Strategic marketing agency The Marketing Store has appointed former Design Council director and Channel 4 head of marketing Wendy Lanchin as director of planning and strategy.
Lanchin will lead strategic thinking at The Marketing Store and further develop the agency’s intellectual property, research, insight and planning processes.

She was Channel 4’s first head of marketing and managed projects such as the launch of The Big Breakfast. Most recently she was executive director of marketing, media and partnerships at The Design Council and was responsible for development and management of marketing, communications and brand strategy for the organisation and all its programmes.

The planning and strategy unit works together with the business development and creative units to win new business and grow the company’s existing accounts.
Simon Marshall, managing director of The Marketing Store, says: “Wendy brings an unrivalled range and quality of experience across the retail and service sectors, both agency and client side. She will have a crucial role to play in developing our strategic and planning capabilities.”
