MySpaces Kantrowitz takes global marketing title

MySpace marketer Jamie Kantrowitz has returned to the US to take the position of SVP of strategy and global marketing for MySpace Music.

She was previously senior vice president, international marketing and content, based in London and was part of the team that oversaw the expansion of MySpace into 30 international territories.

Kantrowitz (pictured) joined MySpace in 2004 as vp of marketing and content and worked on strategic, marketing and promotional campaigns, both on and offline. She was involved in the original growth of entertainment properties, including MySpace Music. It is not clear if her UK position is to be filled.

MySpace sits in the Fox Interactive arm of News Corp. Former national sales and trade marketing director at GCap Simon Dalglish was recently recruited to be vice president, commercial of Fox Interactive UK.

MySpace was bought by News Corp in July 2005 for $580 million. News International has been investigating working with News Corp sites such as Sky and MySpace, to create a behavioural targeting network across its properties.
