Colgate is the first advertiser to sponsor MySpaceIM.
Colgate MaxWhite is the first brand sponsoring the MySpace instant messaging service, currently in beta testing in the UK.
The application automatically launches on sign-in, which MySpace claims enables greater branding opportunities for advertisers. The MySpaceIM application also allows users to chat to their friends from any computer as it’s web based, not a desktop application.
Other features include instant messaging to other MySpace users, shortcuts to MySpace.com features and profiles, and a music player which plays your friends’ profile songs.
