Yell.com relaunches with enhanced advertiser tools

Yell, the international directories business, relaunched its online business Yell.com to feature new functionalities, including video and advertiser generated content, today (April 3).

As part of the changes the new site will also provide users with a broad range of category content from publishers, domain experts and specialised web search results aimed at helping them make better purchase decisions

Enhanced advertiser tools will allow businesses to add or amend content through the online Yell advertising management site www.yelldirect.com, tailoring content to attract consumers with more detailed descriptions of their business and products.

Mark Canon, president of new media for Yell UK, says: “The new site will provide users with a rich blend of enhanced advertiser data and deep content designed to help them make better decisions about important purchases. Yell’s advertisers in turn will benefit from improved tools to help them represent their businesses to
consumers.”

According to Yell.com it currently attracts 10 million unique visitors every month and is growing at a rate of 40% year on year.

Last month, Yell launched its first stand alone advertising campaign for its UK business directory enquiries service 118 247. Created by Rapier, it carries the strapline “Directory heaven from Yellow pages”.
