Quiet Storm has been appointed to FX UK’s advertising roster and has created a campaign to push the TV channel’s new series of US show Dexter.

The agency won the brief after a pitch against two other undisclosed agencies and has created a print, outdoor and digital campaign to break ahead of the third series of the show, which premieres in the UK on April 24.

Media planning and buying for the campaign is being handled by Walker Media.

Last year, FX, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fox International Channels, launched an online campaign to push the second series of Dexter, which stars former Six Feet Under actor Michael C Hall.

The ‘Dexter Hit List’ featured a personalised video application that allows users to send friends a video of a police press conference in which they appear as the main suspect in a police investigation.

FX launched in the UK in January 2004 and was the first to run Dexter, which stars former Six Feet Under actor Michael C Hall as well as acclaimed US shows NCIS, The Wire, Generation Kill and Family Guy.
