Orange brand chief to move to Saatchi & Saatchi

Orange brand director, Justin Billingsley, is set to depart the mobile operator to the take on a chief role at Saatchi & Saatchi, Asia.

He is due to join the agency network in June. It is understood that he will take on the position of chief executive.

He will be replaced by Orange head of brand communications, Spencer McHugh who will lead the advertising, media and digital marketing teams. McHugh had also previously held the position of head of digital at the mobile operator.

Last year saw a widening of Billingsley’s responsibilities to include the home, business and retail division in addition to his brand remit. He has been with the mobile operator for two years.

In February, Orange unveiled a £7m campaign to promote its Orange Wednesday cinema ticket offer.

The campaign, created by Fallon, was shot in a documentary style and tells the story of the Wicked Witch of the West from The Wizard of Oz.
