Global Radio is to review its media account following a “mutual decision” to part company with incumbent Mediavest.

In an internal statement to employees, the radio group says both parties “wish each other success for the future” and that the relationship has been “long and successful”.

Mediavest has worked on campaigns for a number of the radio group’s stations in recent years including activity for LBC, Galaxy and most recently the Heart network.

The agency handled media duties for last month’s relaunch of 12 stations under the Heart brand in the west of England.

These follow the nine stations that were rebranded as Heart across the Anglia region in January.

Global launched a television, cinema and outdoor campaign to support the latest roll-out of the network. The “Give it some Heart” spots are created by Beattie McGuinness Bungay and aimed to introduce the Heart brand to listeners in the West of England.
