Walt Disney creates EMEA ad sales role

The Walt Disney Company has appointed Peter Fitton to the new role of vice president of ad sales and promotions for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Fitton will move from his previous position of vice president of international sales for Disney Media’s advertising sales and marketing group, based in New York.

Effective immediately, he will manage the entire ad sales and promotions teams throughout the EMEA region, with an initial focus on media networks and online.

The online component of his responsibilities comprises of the company’s portfolio of kid-focused television channels and online destinations, including Disney Channel, Playhouse Disney, Disney XD, Cinemagic, Jetix.com, Disney Online and Disney Family.

He will report to Diego Lerner, EMEA president of The Walt Disney Company.

In the future, Fitton will also oversee the growth of the organisation into a fully integrated and consolidated advertising and promotions group to include all products and services, across all lines of business, franchises, and properties across the region.
